Village Trek, Snorkelling and Cyclones on Korovou, Fiji, my favourite Island!

Our second Island visit of the week was to Korovou Eco-Resort. We'd previously had two fun filled days at Nabua Lodge and were eagerly awaiting our next two nights!  Our ferry arrived at Korovou at 3:30pm and we clambered into the speedboat to take us to shore. After a while we gave in and went outside for some fresh sea air!… Continue reading Nabua Lodge, Sawa-I-Lau Caves and Kava Ceremony, Fiji!

Next stop, Fiji!

After a month in cold New Zealand, we were blissfully excited to fly into Fiji for some tropical sun, clear blue seas and shouts of 'BULA' (the Fijian greeting for Hello / Welcome).  We landed in Nadi airport at 4:00pm on February 14th, Valentines Day. What better way to spend Steve and I's first Valentines… Continue reading Next stop, Fiji!

The Killing Fields, Cambodia…

Following on from the horrors of the S21 Prison, we visited The Killing Fields, also in Cambodia.  At first glance, we arrived to greenery, trees in bloom and peace. But only 40 years ago The Killing Fields were home to millions of mass murders at the hands of Pol Pott. We visited the Choeung Ek… Continue reading The Killing Fields, Cambodia…

Shocking visit to the S21 Prison, Cambodia…

Cambodia was always on our list of must see countries, due to the completely different culture to England. Also because of our desire to visit the S21 Prison and Killing Fields to pay our respects.  At first glance, the prison seems like 5 ordinary run down buildings surrounded by plants and trees, but for those… Continue reading Shocking visit to the S21 Prison, Cambodia…
